Club Championship Information

1st ANNUAL PVB CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP (25 – 27 April 2025) 

 

SCHEDULE 

 

25 APR (FRI) – SINGLES (FULL/SKINNY) 

      

     4:00 Sign In (We will have a table located in front of pro shop before players enter). 

     4:30 Brief (Jack/Jim welcome players, brief update on future improvements). I (Clint) 

will then welcome players and discuss rules/scoring/schedule/court assignments.  I will also 

introduce players to their coordinators for their matches. 

     5:00 Start Play 

 

26 APR (SAT) – MENS DOUBLES 

 

     8:00 Sign In  

     8:30 Brief (Same as Friday) 

     9:00 Start Play 

 

26 APR (SAT) – WOMENS DOUBLES 

 

     12:30 Sign In 

       1:00 Brief 

       1:30 Start Play 

 

27 APR (SUN) – MIXED DOUBLES 

 

     8:00 Sign In 

     8:30 Brief 

     9:00 Start Play 

 

FORMAT 

 

1.Double Elimination (6 teams or more)  

a.Best 2 of 3 (games to 11) in Winners Bracket. Switch at 6, if Game 3. 

b.1 Game to 15 in Opportunity Bracket. Switch at 8. 

c.Gold Medal Match = best 2 of 3 (games to 11). Switch at 6, if Game 3.  

*If Winners Bracket is 1st loss, play 1 Game to 15, switch at 8.  

 

2. Round Robin (4 or 5 Teams) 

a. Each team plays every other team. 1 Game to 15, switch at 8. After round robin 

play, teams are ranked 1 thru 4.  #1 vs #2 for Gold, #3 vs #4 for Bronze.  Bronze 

Medal Game will be 1 Game to 15, switch at 8. Gold Medal Game will be best 2 

of 3, Game to 11, if Game 3 is necessary, switch at 6. Tie Breakers as follow: 1) 

Head to Head, 2) Point Differential, 3) Least Points Allowed.   

 

3. Round Robin (3 Teams) 

a. Each team plays every other team.  Best 2 of 3, Game to 11. If Game 3 is 

necessary, switch at 6.  After round robin play, teams are ranked 1 thru 3.  #1 

team wins Gold, #2 wins Silver, #3 wins Bronze. Tie breakers same as above. 

 

 

RULES 

1.Calls are made on the court. Respect opponents call. If unsure if the ball is out, then 

call it In.  If there is a rules dispute, try to resolve on the court.  If both teams can’t 

resolve, seek out Kevin Rawls or Clint West to help resolve.  Please do not interrupt 

their game if they are in a match.  Sportsmanship is paramount.  Please remember 

these are friendly matches with other members of the club. 

2.Time Outs: (2) per game. 1 minute each.  

3.First Serve:  Rock, Paper, Scissors or whatever method works.   

4.Medals:  Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. 

5.Plaque:  Winners of the Open division will have their name(s) displayed on plaque 

that will hang in the pro shop.
